Interventional Pain Management

This pain management clinic is provided in conjunction with the physicians of Integrated Pain Solutions. This clinic is located at 704-A Progress Place. The following physician provides injections for pain management:

Vascular Clinic

The vascular clinic is provided in conjunction with the physicians of Carolinas Vascular Associates. This clinic is located at 1600 Medical Drive (the former Scotland Surgical & GI building), and is staffed by:

  • Clinton Atkinson, M.D.
  • Adam Clark, PA-C

These providers specialize in performing the following procedures:

  • Endovascular AAA repair
  • Minimally invasive arthrectomy
  • Percutaneous lower extremity revasculization
  • Carotid artery surgery and stenting
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic aortograms and angiograms
  • Treatment of deep venous thrombosis with conventional and lytic treatment
  • Wound care
  • Renal and mesenteric artery percutaneous treatments
  • Dialysis access creation and management

Infusion Therapy Clinic

This clinic is held in the Occupational Health and Urgent Care facility, located on the hospital campus. The staff treats ambulatory patients ranging from adolescent to older adults. Care provided includes collaboration with the prescribing provider, infusion nurse, patient family and/or significant other and various healthcare team members. Services provides include:

  • Blood transfusions – administration of red blood cells, platelets and plasma when individuals have low blood counts due to various illnesses
  • IM and Intravenous antibiotic treatment for infections
  • Subcutaneous and IM injections - administration of injectable drugs such as those used to boost production of red or white blood cells
  • Hydration therapy - infusion therapy to treat dehydration in patients
  • Blood draws for lab tests related to medication or post IV therapy – a convenient service that eliminates the need for Infusion Center patients to go elsewhere for related blood tests to monitor the treatment
  • Various infusions such as Remicade, Reclast,Cerezyme, Ferrlecit, Methylprednisolone ther medications include Prolia for treatment of Osteoporosis and Rhogam for RH negative in pregnancy.
