Scotland Memorial Foundation is committed to improving the health of the communities we serve by advancing educational opportunities in the healthcare field for local students, who will hopefully return home for careers with Scotland Health Care System.

These scholarships include:

  • W.R. Dulin Memorial Scholarship - $2,500
    The prestigious W.R. Dulin Memorial Scholarship, awarded in memory of W.R. "Bob" Dulin, who dedicated considerable time to improving the health of local individuals as demonstrated by his nearly two decades of service to the Scotland Health Care System Board of Trustees.
  • One (1) Scotland Memorial Foundation Merit/Community Service Based Scholarship - $2,500
  • Two (2) Allied Health/Nursing Scholarships - $1,500 each
  • Two (2) Scotland Memorial Foundation Nursing/Allied Health Higher Education Scholarship - $2,500 (Accepted & Enrolled)
  • One (1) Charles Jenkins Memorial Scholarship - $2,500 (Accepted & Enrolled)

Laurinburg Kiwanis Club Endowed Scholarship for Scotland Health Care System: 

  • Must be a current employee of Scotland Health Care System. Preference will be given to residents of Scotland County. In the absence of a qualified candidate from this area, other applicants residing in the service area(s) will be considered. (Note: Associates in a full-time status will be given first consideration for this award.) 
  • An application and all requested attachments must be completed and submitted in a timely manner for consideration of the Kiwanis award.
  • The scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,500 annually. An increase may be considered at the discretion of the Foundation and Human Resources. 
  • Award will be paid directly to the institution of higher learning.
  • The service obligation will align with the guidelines from Human Resources.

Applications for each of these scholarships are due March 6, 2024 at 5:00p.m. and can be submitted by email (autumn.lauzon@scotlandhealth.org) mail or in-person at the Scotland Memorial Foundation office located in the Main Administration Building.
