Lunch Bunch

For over 20 years Scotland Regional Hospice has held the Lunch Bunch support group as part of its bereavement services. The monthly meetings, led by Tanya Williams, the organization’s director of family services, were originally created for the benefit of widows and widowers and over time has expanded to include anyone who has lost a loved one and would otherwise be eating alone.

Each meeting takes place on the third Friday of each month at Captain Larry’s Seafood & Steaks located at 124 Ford Drive in Laurinburg with a 12:00 p.m. meeting time.

The monthly gatherings begin with a recognition of birthdays, a brief message from the bereavement team and an uplifting, guided activity. Scotland Regional Hospice will provide education, gifts and activities, but participants are responsible for their own meal.
