Scotland Regional Hospice is proud to offer Alzheimer's Support Groups in the communities that we serve. For everyone's convenience, these groups will meet in three locations - Laurinburg, Bennettsville and Pembroke and all meetings will be available virtually as well.
At Scotland Regional Hospice, we are all too familiar with the mental, emotional and physical challenges associated with caring for someone when Alzheimer's Disease. This process can be even more demanding when caring for someone you love. We offer these support groups as part of our ongoing mission to improve the quality of life of those coping with life-limiting illnesses. By better equipping caregivers for the challenges associated with this terrible disease, we hope to improve the quality of life not only for the patients, but for all those involved in caring for them.
Because Alzheimer's disease affects everyone differently, we believe that the value of these support groups is for an attendee to be able to compare someone else's challenges and successes to his/her own. Not all information will be relevant to everyone, but our hope is that there will be something discussed in each meeting that everyone attending can connect with and build on.
Meetings are free, but registration is required. Click Here to register.
Each meeting will begin with a brief informational presentation followed by a guided group discussion.
