Scotland Urgent Care Earns Rural Health Clinic Accreditation Through The Joint Commission

Scotland Urgent Care, part of the Scotland Physicians Network (SPN), has earned accreditation through The Joint Commission to be designated as a Rural Health Clinic (RHC), becoming the fifth SPN practice to achieve this distinction in 2026. The achievement marks another milestone in Scotland Health's ongoing commitment to strengthening access to high-quality healthcare services throughout the rural communities it serves. 

Rural Health Clinic accreditation recognizes healthcare organizations that meet nationally recognized standards for patient safety, quality of care, care coordination, and operational excellence while addressing the unique healthcare challenges often faced in rural communities, including provider shortages, transportation barriers, and limited access to healthcare services.
