Scotland Health is pleased to welcome Ian Stewart as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer following a comprehensive national search.
A native of Seneca, South Carolina, Stewart brings extensive experience in healthcare operations and a strong commitment to service excellence. He attended Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina, and later earned his master’s degree from Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida.
Stewart joins Scotland Health from Baptist Health in Conway, Arkansas, where he served as Vice President of Operations. In that role, he provided strategic oversight for multiple service lines, led performance improvement initiatives, and championed patient‑centered care.

Ian’s leadership will help us continue delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care across the local communities we proudly serve.”
In his new role, Ian will oversee Materials Management, BioMed, Engineering, Environmental Services, Food and Nutritional Services, and Project Management.
Scotland Health is also delighted to welcome Stewart’s wife, Beatrice (“B”) Stewart, who has joined the team as a Physical Therapist. The couple recently relocated to the area with their two beloved dogs, Dorothy (“Dot”) and Duke.
Ian shared that he is proud to join the Scotland Health team and looks forward to becoming part of the local communities. His expertise and energy will further strengthen Scotland Health’s mission to provide high‑quality, compassionate care for the patients and families it serves.
