Scotland Health Announces Transition to Paperless Statements

Scotland Health is pleased to announce a significant update to our billing system that will enhance the convenience of our services. Starting on August 14, patients who do not have active MyChart logins but have valid email and/or mobile numbers will receive paperless statements instead of traditional paper statements.

At Scotland Health, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest level of care and service. This update is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline our operations and reduce our environmental impact. Patients who are currently receiving emails and/or text messages when their statements generate will now have the option to receive their statements electronically, eliminating the need for paper statements.

The key details of this update are as follows:

• • Patients who do not have active MyChart logins but have valid email and/or mobile numbers will automatically be enrolled in paperless billing.
• • For the first two statements, these patients will no longer receive a physical paper statement. Instead, they will receive their statements via email and/or text message.
• • If a patient's account is set to receive more than two statements, statements after the second statement will be generated and sent via paper as per the system settings.
• • Patients will have the option to opt out of paperless billing and continue receiving paper statements. To do so, they will need to update their hospital account settings.
