Effective Immediately:

  • Masking in all areas of Scotland Health Care System will be optional, except for patients presenting with symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever, diarrhea, etc ).
  • Visitors will not be required to mask in clinical areas; unless visiting a Covid or flu positive patient or patient under investigation.
  • An N-95 mask is required by all team members when caring for a COVID + patient or patient under investigation.
  • An N-95 mask is required by all team members when intubating a patient ( suspected or tested +).
  • An N-95 mask is required in all aerosolizing treatments / procedures.
  • All patients presenting with flu or covid symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever, diarrhea, etc.)  must wear a mask. This applies to all patient areas and patients being transported.

Visiting hours at Scotland Memorial Hospital remain 8:00 am – 8:30 pm daily.

Scotland Health will continue to monitor and update our policies as appropriate based on community transmission levels.
