 Frequently Asked Questions

Why do men play on both days?
It’s just a supply and demand situation.  Very few teams sign up for the ladies tournament, and the men’s tournament typically overflows into Tuesday due to more interest than available space.

Can men and women play on the same team?
Mixed teams are allowed and are eligible for individual awards.  Mixed teams are not eligible for team prizes unless they compete in the men’s tournament.

What time does registration start?
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at 11:00am on Wednesday.  There will also be food and drinks available once registration begins each day.

Can I come early and practice?
Yes.  The driving range opens prior to the start of the tournament.

What if it rains?
Unfortunately, there are no make-up days.  If it rains on a tournament day, the indoor events will still take place, but the tournament will not be made up.

Are there any COVID restrictions?
Tournament leaders are trying to come up with ways to spread people out during the social parts of the event (dinners, auction, etc.).  Unless there are changes made by the NC government or to the Scotland Health event policy, there are currently no mask requirements.  We will be doing our best to keep everyone as socially distant as possible.

When is the raffle drawing?  and do I have to be present to win?
The Lawson’s Gift jewelry raffle drawing will take place during the closing ceremony on Wednesday evening.  You do not have to be present to win.

If I sponsor the tournament, can I bring a guest to the sponsor dinner?
Yes.  Sponsors can bring a guest to the sponsor dinner.
