Hospice of Scotland County Golf Tournament

Two Days of Golf. One Purpose. Endless Impact.

Join us at Scotch Meadows Country Club for an exciting two-day tournament supporting compassionate hospice care in our community. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or playing for fun and a great cause, this event delivers an outstanding experience on and off the course.


Tournament Overview

  • Format: Captain’s Choice
  • Structure: Two independent one-day tournaments (May 5 & May 6)
  • Teams compete only against players participating on the same day.
  • Awards for the top third of teams each day, plus special contest prizes.
  • All awards are presented during the Closing Ceremony on May 6.

Player Registration & Fees

Entry Fees

  • $150 — One Player, One Day
  • $250 — One Player, Both Days
  • $600 — Foursome, One Day
  • $1,000 — Foursome, Both Days

Special competitions made possible by Wade S. Dunbar Insurance Agency. Car for hole-in-one competition from Scotland Motors. Hole 15 air cannon made possible by Matt Walker, Farm Bureau.

The winning team for each day will also receive a round of golf at the prestigious Pinehurst No. 8 and be invited to the Golf Pride Global Innovation Center Retail Lab in Pinehurst for a complimentary club regripping.

Tuesday, May 5 — Tournament Day 1

  • 10:30 a.m. — Silent Auction Opens (Clubhouse, second floor)
  • 11:00 a.m. — Registration Opens
  • 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. — Lunch Available
  • 12:00 p.m. — Shotgun Start

Wednesday, May 6 — Tournament Day 2 & Closing Celebration

  • 10:30 a.m. — Silent Auction Opens (Clubhouse, second floor)
  • 11:00 a.m. — Registration Opens
  • 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. — Lunch Available
  • 12:00 p.m. — Shotgun Start
  • 4:30 p.m. — Reception (Cocktails & Hors d’Oeuvres)
  • 5:00 p.m. — Dinner
  • 5:30 p.m. — Closing Ceremony

Frequently Asked Questions

Are mixed teams allowed?

Yes! Men and women can play together on the same team.

When does registration begin?

Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. both days, with food and drinks available at that time.

Can I warm up before the tournament?

Yes. The driving range and practice putting green are open prior to the start of the tournament.

Is there a rain date?

There are no make-up days. If it rains, indoor events will still take place, but the tournament will not be made up.

When is the raffle drawing, and do I have to be present to win?

The Lawson’s Gift jewelry raffle drawing will take place during the Closing Ceremony on Wednesday evening. You do not have to be present to win.
