Pembroke Family Practice Center is one of six family medicine practices owned and operated by Scotland Health Care System. The Pembroke staff has been serving the Robeson County community since 1989 and is dedicated to providing patients with quality, personalized care in a friendly, professional setting. We welcome both new and established patients to our practice.

  • Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • After hour calls are handled by our doctor on call.

To schedule an appointment at Pembroke Family Practice, please call our office at (910) 521-4462 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. We can normally accommodate same-day appointments for sick patients. Please call our office and let us know you'd like a same-day appointment to handle an immediate medical issue. Please note that we require 24-hour notice to cancel appointments. If you believe you are in a life-threatening situation, CALL 911!

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment in order to complete necessary forms. Please bring to your appointment:

  • Any medications you are taking in their original prescription bottles.
  • Immunization records and a copy of previous records if you are transferring to us from another office.
  • Your insurance card
  • Copayment or any deductible amounts due (all insurance copayments and deductibles are due at the time of service).
  • A friend or family member to assist you into or out of our office should you require that type of assistance.

New Patient Information
Pembroke Family Practice is accepting new patients, and we are looking forward to seeing you and your family in our office. We encourage new patients to schedule an appointment with us before an illness occurs. That gives us the opportunity to learn about your medical history, and gives you the opportunity to learn more about our practice.

Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment, and bring with you any medications you're taking (in their original bottles); immunization and other previous medical records; and your insurance card and copayment.

Prescription Refills
If you need a new prescription, or refills added to a current prescription, please inform your doctor during your regular appointment. If you need a prescription refill between appointments, call our office and allow 48 hours for prescription refills. All prescription requests are handled during normal office hours. No prescription requests are handled after hours or on weekends. You may also request a prescription refill through the Patient Portal (see below for Portal information.) If you have concerns about your prescription, please call our office to speak to a clinician. Do not discontinue recommended medication or take a refill of medication that looks different than you are used to before calling our office. Vaccine Information
Vaccines are not just for kids! Even adults need to make sure their vaccines are up to date. These include vaccines for everything from shingles to the flu. Our office is happy to answer questions about the vaccines you may need, and will work with you to determine what is covered by your insurance plan.

Diagnostic Laboratory Tests
For the convenience of our patients, we offer a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests in our office. This means you may not have to travel to a separate lab location, and your medical provider has faster access to the results of needed tests. Your provider will get the results of tests completed in-house on the same day. Results for laboratory tests that cannot be completed in our office are returned within 72 hours. Patients may view their test results through the patient portal in four days. Please talk to our office staff about registering for the portal if you have not already done so.

Billing, Insurance, and Payments
Pembroke Family Practice Center accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. We are happy to help you determine if we accept your plan before your visit. Please call our office at (910) 521-4462. All insurance co-payments and deductibles are due at the time of service. Billing questions may be directed to the centralized business office at (910) 291-7150 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Financial Assistance - Sliding Fee Discount Policy and Application

To promote access to preventative and illness care for under-insured income persons, a sliding fee for payment is available at this practice for patients who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the above policy. No one is refused services regardless of their ability to pay.


Patient Portal
Pembroke Family Practice Center patients have access to their medical records in a timely, convenient manner through the Patient Portal, which is powered by IQHealth. Upon providing a valid email address to our practice staff, you will receive an email from IQHealth with login instructions. You will use this link to launch the online patient portal. If you have questions about the information in your patient portal, please contact your physician's office. In the Portal you'll:

  • Access your medical record
  • Request a medication refill or an appointment
  • Check your lab results, vital signs, allergies, immunizations
  • See which medications are prescribed
  • Send messages to your doctor's office
