Laurinburg, N.C. – OrthoCarolina and Scotland Health are happy to introduce and welcome Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, Dr. Daniel DeRosa, to the team. Dr. DeRosa is an orthopedic spine surgeon with extensive experience in back and neck surgeries.

Daniel C. DeRosa, DO has joined the OrthoCarolina practice in Laurinburg. He specializes in Minimally Invasive Spinal Procedures, Spine Surgery, Interventional Spine, and Functional Medicine. Dr. DeRosa received a B.S. in Biology from East Tennessee State University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internships and Residencies at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and his fellowship in Adult Spinal Surgery at Duke University. 

Dr. DeRosa has an extensive military background which includes serving in the surgery and orthopaedic surgery departments at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii as well as Womack Army Medical Center and the 759th Forward Surgical Team at Fort Bragg. He also served in the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment Joint Task Force in Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras.  

He has also contributed to many publications and has presented/moderated multiple Instructional Course Lectures on Lumbar Interbody Fusion: Approaches, Devices, Biologics, and more at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. 

In his spare time Dr. DeRosa enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He is also a rare and exotic car enthusiast. 

Dr. DeRosa will perform all spinal surgeries at Scotland Memorial Hospital and is happy to be a part of bringing a new service line to our area.
