Join Scotland Memorial Foundation as we host the

13th Annual FUNd Run-4-Life on April 29, 2017!!

Whether you are a serious runner, exercise enthusiast or just ready for an outdoor stroll, this is the event for you!  Choose from the USATF Certified HALF-MARATHON or 5K RUN/WALK or just bring the family out for a fun 1-mile stroll in our RIBBON WALK around the hospital campus and enjoy a morning of healthy exercise with friends and family.  

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
All events will take place at the Community Health and Rehabilitation Center on the campus of Scotland Memorial Hospital at 500 Lauchwood Drive in Laurinburg, NC.  

Friday, April 28th
Packet Pickup: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 29th
Late Registration and Packet Pickup: 6:00 – 7:00 a.m.

Half Marathon – 7:30 a.m.
$45 through April 2, 2017
$55 beginning April 3, 2017
$30 Students only (K-12th or valid college ID)

5K Run/Walk – 8:30 a.m.
$20 through April 2, 2017
$25 beginning April 3, 2017
$15 Students only (K-12th or valid college ID)

1-Mile Fun Run/Ribbon Walk – 9:30 a.m.
Late Registration: 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
$10 for all participants

Kids Zone Area – 7:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Kids of all ages can enjoy fun-filled activities in the Kids Zone from a bounce house, obstacle course, and a trackless train, to face painting, corn hole, games and much more!

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

You can register in person during packet pickup, Friday, April 28th from 4-6 pm or Saturday, April 29th during late registration. See above for times depending on the race you are registering for.  

Running for a Reason

The FUNd Run-4-Life is hosted by Scotland Memorial Foundation.

Every dollar raised helps support these foundation funds:

  • The Diabetes Education Fund provides resources and educational programs focused on addressing the growing trend of diabetes in children and adults.
  • Scotland Cancer Treatment Center's Patient Assistance Fund assists patients who may be faced with financial challenges during their cancer care.

Do you have a family member, friend, or neighbor you'd like to recongized for their fight against cancer or diabetes? Purchase a "Spirit Marker" (using the form below) in honor or memory of a loved one.  All proceeds go to help patients right here at home.

How YOU can help?
Now YOU can setup your own “Running for a Reason” site to raise funds too! All funds stay local and help those in the communities served by Scotland Health Care System. Ask your friends and family to help make a difference!

Course and Timing

Flat, fast, and scenic with long straight-aways. Water stations are provided. Half-Marathon and 5K courses are USATF certified. Timing is managed by a professional race company.

Awards
Following the completion of the 5K and Half Marathon, medals will be awarded to the overall and top 3 finishers in each age category. Finisher medals will be given to all runners who complete the Half Marathon.
