Carolina Family Clinic - New Family Medicine Physicians
Scotland Health Care System welcomes two new family medicine physicians to the community. Drs. Allen Ballew and Marc Sciarra will now provide medical care at Carolina Family Clinic.

This practice was previously occupied by Dr. John Neal. Dr. Neal has served the community for over 35 years and plans to help to assist these new physicians in the transition.

Dr. Allen Ballew received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Tennessee and then received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ballew grew up in Tennessee, and is a Tennessee Volunteers fan, and is married to a middle school teacher. The Ballews have a 2 year old daughter.

Dr. Marc Sciarra received 2 Bachelor of Science Degree; one in Biology and the other in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University - State College. Dr. Sciarra then received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Sciarra is originally from New Jersey and enjoys computer programming.

Drs. Ballew and Sciarra have both recently completed their family medicine residency at Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville. They rotated at Scotland Surgical & GI and both enjoyed the small community environment which led them to Laurinburg. Both physicians will see patients of all ages.
