Scotland Health Care System and the staff of Scotland Urgent Care Center welcomes back full-time physician assistant Terri Cowan. Ms. Cowan joins Family Nurse Practitioner Leslie Oxendine in providing care at Scotland Urgent Care Center.
Ms. Cowan comes to Scotland Urgent Care Center with over 25 years of medical experience. Ms. Cowan earned a Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant from Trevecca Nazarene College. She began her career at Scotland Urgent Care Center and then moved into primary care where she has worked for the past 20 years.
When asked about transitioning from primary care to urgent care she says, “I am seeking to advance my career in an environment that will allow me to utilize my skills, energy, and passion to provide high quality patient care.”
Most recently, Ms. Cowan worked at Berwick Medical Center where she provided primary care. She was involved in all aspects of patient care including performing history and physical examinations, newborn and well child visits, diabetic teaching, and chronic condition care.
